Are online survey jobs really possible?

Share/Bookmark

One of the American dreams is being able to work from home. However, trying to find a legitimate online job that allows people to work from the privacy of their own home is almost impossible. Many survey sites claim that members can earn just as much with online survey jobs as they do with a full time job.

Believing this claim for many is easy because of how desperate people are to make a quick buck. For many people not having to punch a time clock and only working when they want to is a dream come true. Unfortunately, not even online survey sites like GetPaidToTry.com can replace a full time job.

GetPaidToTry.com offers members the chance to get paid to take surveys, but they will never even claim to make members rich. The only claim that GetPaidToTry.com makes is its members can make some extra money, perhaps enough to take a small vacation. Most surveys pay between $.20 and $50, but the higher paying ones are not seen all that often.

Online survey jobs are not everything that they are cracked up to be; mostly they are just a lot of hype. Sure people can make money-taking surveys online, but the amount of money these people earn is nowhere near enough to be considered a job.

People want online survey jobs because of how easy they are. All people have to do is get up and turn on the computer to begin working. However, people are not guaranteed work every day. If there is work an invitation will be sent to the person’s email inbox, but more often than not there is no work. How many surveys somebody qualifies for depends on certain personal information.

Before a survey can be completed a member must be qualified to take the online survey. Members qualify for surveys based on specific requirements that the advertisers have. For example, to take survey A the member must be 28 years old, married with kids under the age of 6. No match no survey!

GetPaidToTry.com screens potential members for surveys based on answers that are provided in a member’s profile. The more information the member provides the more survey opportunities they will have. To enter in the extra information all a member has to do is click on the “My Account” link in his or her profile after logging into the site.
